View of the Towers
Rising 600 feet above the Russell Fork River, the impressive Towers formation is the most photographed
view in the Breaks Park. The Towers is a massive formation of hard, resistant sandstone connected to
Pine Mountain by a narrow neck of solid rock. The formation is over one-half mile long and one-third mile
wide, and is estimated to be 250 million years old.
