Rafting the Russell Fork River 2003

Four weekend water releases from the John Flannagan Reservoir by the United States Army Corps of Engineers swells the waters of the Russell Fork river each October attracting thousands of whitewater enthusiasts from all over the world. Because of the extreme difficulty and technical nature of the Russell Fork, professional outfitters screen prospective rafters very carefully. Most outfitters require Class IV-V rafting experience to ride the river.
