Fred O'quinn of Birchleaf is one of the few banjo players who can play both old-time and bluegrass styles. During this live performance at Seedtime on the Cumberland in Whitesburg, Kentucky he is joined by the Bluegrass Travelers: his sons Kyle (mandolin and vocals) and Keith (barotone), and Larry Childers (lead and bass). At this performance Lee Sexton joined the band on fiddle. Rocky Island, a showpiece for clawhammer-style banjo players, is sometimes called "the national anthem of Dickenson County."
